A year ago, Compass HR Advisors was just an idea — a laptop and a conviction to keep doing the work I love in an industry I love. Year one hasn’t been perfect (failed pitches, unanswered emails, and my dog as my most frequent “coworker”), but it’s been deeply rewarding. Here’s what I’ve learned so far.
